    Hey!!
How much do you suppose it would cost to see the above pictures in BILLBOARD FORM??!!!
    Across the entire WEST??!!
THAT would garner some serious attention, wouldn’t it?

  2. Lisa LeBlanc Says:

Just fer fun, I did a little research: Billboard advertising runs from between $700 to $2500.
Ten billboards can run $25,000 for a month, which is comparable to a full page ad in a newspaper for a single day.
I know it’s just a fantasy, but it’s a helluva good one, huh?

  3. Janet Ferguson Says:

This is a wonderful clever poster — it says it all!

They should also have one showing the CATTLE!!!!!

  4. Jan Eaker Says:

I like the billboard idea , is it doable?

    • Lisa LeBlanc Says:

Ms. Eaker – if I had the 25 G’s and permission from Grass Roots, THAT would be a done deal.
I’m going to assume if an advertising agency takes your cash, then it pretty much would have to be doable.
It kinda staggers the senses, don’t it, the idea of thousands of people driving by and seeing that on a billboard? Particularly in light of how poorly tax dollars are being administered.
It makes me wanna giggle like li’l maniac!

  5. Barb S Says:

I would like to see this on billboards on the beltways around D.C!

    • Marilyn Wargo Says:

Where does the traffic back up every day? That’s a good place… But that much money can save the lives of horses and put them on land. Maybe we should be leasing ranch property… or challenging Nevada/BLM and leasing cattle allotments with the Nevada ‘livestock’ from Calico. Considering how few the number of horses are from state to state, compared to cattle on public land, the public could be leasing land and managing horses and keeping BLM away. What a hypocritical way to deal with Multiple use; No horses leases….

Madeleine should have gotten a big ranch for the titled horses to be let run.

  6. LOUIE COCROFT Says:

MAR, SO RIGHT. WE NEED LOTS OF LAND–WITH WATER–FOR THEM. DOES ANYONE HAVE THE FIGURES ON EXACTLY HOW MUCH LAND HAD BEEN TAKEN AWAY FROM THEM IN NEVADA?

  7. Lisa LeBlanc Says:

By the by and feel free to pass this on:

The Austin/Tonopah areas of Nevada, site of a projected roundup, is currently experiencing yet another Winter Storm. Predicted snowfall is 2 – 4 inches. Widespread showers and thunderstorms in the lower elevations.

This area has been experiencing these types of storms on the average of every two weeks for the past two months.

I mention all of this because the reasoning by the BLM in the written proposal for the roundup is (drum roll)

    DROUGHT.

I’m just sayin’ – maybe they could hold off for a little while ’til the rain stops falling and the snow melts??

  8. LOUIE COCROFT Says:

LISA, THANK YOU. I THINK PART OF THE PROBLEM IS THAT THE HORSES HAVEN’T SEEN THESE MAPS.

  9. Michael J Ahles Says:

    Dear Nevada Attorney General,

It is also time to close the concentration camps holding the innocent Nevada mustangs so wrongfully captured and imprisoned in Nevada. It is time to set the Nevada mustangs free. Freedom or justice as you must surely know is not only the right of mankind but the equal right of all of nature, ourselves. It is our duty, it is your duty to protect our freedoms, be they our lands, the lives on our lands, as well as the people on our lands; it is your duty to protect the freedom of One or All.
Please help free the mustangs Ms Attorney General, Nevada’s freedoms need your help, needs your protection, Justice is calling you.

    Thank You,

    =

  10. LOUIE COCROFT Says:

MICHAEL, VERY GOOD IDEA ON YOUR PART!

  11. LOUIE COCROFT Says:

I CHECKED WITH A VERY RELIABLE SOURCE WHO SAYS THAT OVER 10 MILLION ACRES HAVE BEEN TAKEN FROM THE NEVADA HORSES–GERRYMANDERED OUT FROM UNDER THEM.

  12. LOUIE COCROFT Says:

WE ALL NEED TO GO IN HERE AND COMMENT.

The most current story is I-Team: Nearly 80 Wild Horses Dead After Roundup.

  13. LOUIE COCROFT Says:

HOW ABOUT THAT SIGN ON THE NEVADA/CALIFORNIA BORDER?

  14. jan Says:

how about one of those billboards in ky at churchill downs – kentucky derby next month – on the 1st of may i think

and another up at santa anita here in california

  15. Anne-Marie Says:

I totally LOVE the billboard idea!! Let’s see if Madeline Pickens would help?! Warren Buffet, Oprah, Vigo M. Cheryl Crow, Willie etc.!!

  16. Erika Toth Says:

I am surprised not to find more recent comments – like after the 9/23 and24th incidents involving Laura Leigh at the secret Sheldon roundup where she was attacked by the BLM helicopter and nearly run over (intentionally!) by the BLM-contracted David Cattoor horse-transport truck… I think CNN and Anderson Cooper need to be asked to investigate the BLM… after all, Anderson Cooper says, “The Truth Matters” — and he also, says, “Public officials must be held accountable…” The paper, “The Desert Independent” ran the story on 9/26/10 under the title, “Wild Horse Observer Attacked by BLM Helicopter.”

  17. Jeanne Says:

We just finished a rally in Phoenix and plan to have more around the area to raise awareness for our wild horses. Many people have no clue what is going on with our wild horses.
