McCullough Peaks Adoption this month

These are amazing horses who should still be in the wild near Cody, Wyoming where they have roamed for hundreds of years. Some are thought to descend from Buffalo Bill Cody’s Cleveland Bays. 25 mustangs from McCullough Peaks and 5 from the nearby Fifteen Mile Herd will be offered for adoption.

I will try to go up to this. I am very much wanting to see them. If anyone is going from Fort Collins I would love to meet you… there.. ? I wonder how they faired this winter, foals coming etc. Did they have much the same problems that Calico horses had adjusting? There were a fair number taken… Carol Walker spent time at the roundup… she knows. mar

I was reading articles this am on PF and it seems WYO had a significant outbreak last fall around the state, Cheyenne got hit pretty good.

Was Rock Springs hit? That is the location of the holding for these horses… If they were I think they might have some information on how long it lasted and what was or was not done for these horses… mar
