Wonderful, Sandy. More grateful tears from another song that tells the story of the wild ones and the people gathered in DC who told it like it is. We are a proud horse nation and we do sing for the wild ones’ freedom. Big hug, mar

    Awesome to the max.
Also I am so proud the 2 billboards are being put up in KY. Some of us may be able to do a mini-protest at or near the Horse Park. We had 7 at our protest in Lexington in Jan.

This a song for the Horse Nation from one of Black Elk’s spirit visions. He was a holy man of the Oglala Sioux, one of the horse peoples of the plains. If any of you don’t know about Black Elk, there are links to more about him on the page.

I read it when I need the courage and energy to go on. Hope it inspires and strengthens you as well.

The segment in which those at the rally applauded the mounted police (horses) was sooooo poignant! What is needed here is a shift in human concsiousness, towards all sentient beings, our connection to them as kindred spirits, and the earth. This is happening; I just wish it would accelerate exponentially – more quickly! Thank you, Sandy.

has anyone gone online and written to all the native people online about the plight of the horses – i come across a lot of native american websites

Mar tried to open the link to the Black Elk visions/stories/songs (more like chants), and it didn’t work. I tried it again and it opened the wrong page. If you would like to read his inspiring words, search for:

First People Black Elk Speaks Index

I suggest you read “The Great Vision” first, and then “The Horse Vision”. There are many similarities, and some amazing differences.

To the BLM and other destroyers – beware when you are not good stewards of the horses and the earth!

    • Linda Says:

Thanks for putting it up, Mar. Got back late from the rescue – finished putting together the mailing of the newsletter I sent to you. Busy, busy, busy!
