Am I missing it, is the COnfusion Area roundup that was just postponed not on here?

  2. Marilyn Wargo Says:

Confusion is gone… West Douglas is listed but should be scratched off. The East Douglas /Piceance is there and I hope will get protection from the West Douglas action. Mar

I hope so too, I hope the BLM is done in CO, wouldn’t that be a great thing!

  4. Marilyn Wargo Says:

There are 3 other small herds besides those two and they had roundups in recent past; Sandwash Basin, Little Book Cliffs also in Northwestern Colorado, then Spring Creek Basin, 2 hours from me near the Utah border, SW Colorado. All of these herds have people with blogs who watch them. I do visit the Spring Creek online at WordPress and TJ Holmes does a lovely job on naming and tracking horses. Billie is at Little Book Cliffs and has been for a while. I an pretty sure there is a friend of hers on the Sandwash herd. If Colorado can hold onto its horses maybe some others will, too. Mar

Pam Nickoles Picture of The Week is of a Stallion from the SW Colorado Rio Grande area. This a group I did not know about. I have seen wild horses on the Colorado/New Mexico border coming up from Toas County. They were all bays with white markings and were very afraid near the road. They moved like a flock of birds in unison. mar

Mar, good post on IDA’s blog w/updates about the orphan foal and mare that was shot.

  6. jan eaker Says:

I’m hoping the good action in Colorado will set a precedent for the horses that will help in other states; also I’m hoping the Utah roundup is totally gone,

Thanks Louie, I had thought that we were also commenting on Antelope Complex?? I thought it may be moved up… I am not sure. BLM did not have a comment period that we knew about for anything Beginning with and Including Bordo in New Mexico, that I know of… Mar

      attention TCF!

      • Marilyn Wargo Says:

There are 4 burro roundups in March. I have never seen a EA or comment period for them, ever. 3 in Arizona and 1 in Nevada.

McGavin Peak roundup begins in January. it is Forest Service. mar

  9. LOUIE COCROFT Says:

CAN WE REPEAT THE PETITION THAT WE SIGNED ON THE CONFUSION MT. ROUND-UP? ANNIES ARMY NEEDS TO MOBILIZE.

  10. LOUIE COCROFT Says:

I READ ON ONE OF THE OTHER WEBSITES THAT THE BLM SELLS THE BURROS TO THE MILITARY THAT USES THEM NOT ONLY FOR PACK ANIMALS, BUT ALSO TO CARRY BOMBS INTO THE CAMPS OF THE AFGHANISTANS, MUCH LIKE THE NAVY HAS USED THE DOLPHINS. IT’S TIME FOR MAMA TO STEP IN AND TAKE THEIR TOYS AWAY.
