This was my comment to teh BlLM. I just wish they would listen. If horse herds would double in four years horse ranchers would be buried in horses!!

-You base your projected herd growth figures onan estimated 20 percent growth but even using your figures, the wild horse herds will not double in number in four years. Even using your 20 % numbers and figuring in no deaths from any cause there would only be 17 horses at the end of four years if we started with 10 horses. Your figures are flawed and worse you know it and do not care!

In the Pryors this past year there was a foal crop of 39 foals I believe. Of those foals all but seven died mostly from cougar hunting. the actual growth of the herd in the pryors, not factoring in your gather and cull was a .02 percent increase. Since the gather and foal count several mares and another foal have disappeared, making the yearly growth almost a negative number. You’re figures are flawed and you still do not care. It is no wonder you are spending so much money on the wild horses, you can’t count!!

Leave the wild horses alone until a wise accurate and responsible decision can be made! We are asking you for a moratorium until better heads can come up with a better plan.

I actually misfigured because the foals born the first two years wouldn’t foal themselves until they were two at least and probably they wouldn’t all be female and even given my errors in pretending to be a statitician, I came up with less of an increase than BLM! I don’t know where they went ot school for math. Maybe they were sleeping like me?

To quote Trevor Denman UN BE LIEV A BLE! “Gathering” in the dead of winter–good grief. All these bozos have to do is watch a special on the wild animals in Yellowstone. These animals put weight on from midsummer on–to get them through the winter. Running an animal in COLD weather can literally kill them because all that energy is used uselessly.

I will write Senator Feinstein (AGAIN) but don’t count on anything other than the basic form letter back and Senator Boxer. Both of them support anti-slaughter but I don’t think they understand the gravity of the situation. I can only try again.

I guess I will also call Pres Obama. Last time even though I tried to talk to a human I got put through to the voice mail thing. I don’t know–will they even listen?

  4. Marilyn Wargo Says:

There is a sense that people who have been listening decided that they should speak up to the devil. Bravo 7000! Don’t stop now.

Yep, going back to the phone… mar

  5. Louie Cocroft Says:

FOR THOSE OF US THAT HAVE ALREADY SENT IN OUR LETTERS–CAN WE STILL SIGN THE PETITION ON THE WEB?

  6. Louie Cocroft Says:

I SURE AM GOING TO CHANGE AT LEAST ONE OF MY VOTES WHEN IT COMES TIME. SENATORS THAT DON’T EVEN REPLY PROBABLY NEED TO GO.

  7. Michael J Ahles Says:

To help free the mustangs of Nevada, Please don’t eat beef.
It is all about the cattle industry, and the mustangs competing with their profits. We can’t fight city hall, the cattlemen, or BLM, but we can boycott beef! And that action will set them free.
