This is grand, You did good, Lindsay and Christine. Everyone who did this. I do wish I were there. If you ever have a line on coverage for the News conference, do tell the blog so we can see!!! Wonderful, a real rally for the horses in Washington, BEAUTIFUL>mar

  2. Marilyn Wargo Says:

Chris Heyde from the Animal Welfare Institute will be a speaker. We need to get the petition up here from Care2. I am sorry I am not able to, but TCF can or you can do a link, anyone who knows how. We had a link here for AMI at one time. Mar

  3. Marilyn Wargo Says:

AWI, and Campaign to save America’s wild horses. Google AWI and Care2 and please put the petitions up? I have a fever, have to stop again. Mar

    • Janet Ferguson Says:

This isn’t a petition, but looking for the petition I found an attachment to something dated 2005 which talks about grazing:

You rest/sleep/drink plenty of water/think positive and “let go and let God” as they say. . . don’t get sick!!!! We need you at the TCF blog!!

I am going to look for your petition. . .

      • Marilyn Wargo Says:

JF, I put a good one up at my blog, the other one I messed up adding some words after. But there is another at Care2, Under Campaign For America’s Wild Horses. They have about 47,000 signatures and want 50,000. It is for roam, too. Mar

      • Marilyn Wargo Says:

At least one set of directions should make sense! I am drinking lots of cold drinks with vitamins. 1) Go to google 2) put in; ” Care2 do things better,” just like that, 3) when the list of web sites comes up it should be the first one. It will have those words in it, Click on the top siteor the one on top with that, 4) when the site come up, go up to the search app. and type in “Wild Horses” and the page that comes up should be with a big prancing dark, clydesdale, white blaze
This is the “Campaign to Save Our American Wild Horses” I think… with all those signatures.

    • Janet Ferguson Says:

I think this is it (your petition from your blog) with “two bay mares, etc.”

      • Janet Ferguson Says:

This doesn’t have 47,000 signatures, tho.

      • Marilyn Wargo Says:

Success!! The one with 46,000 signatures can be found at google…”Care2 to do things better” and it is the first web site, click on and enter search for “Wild Horses” and up will come the “Campaign to Save our American Wild Horses” wit 46’000+ Mar

    • carol poole Says:

Here is the direct link to the petition Marilyn, I signed this one a week or so ago.

      Hope you’re feeling better!

      • Marilyn Wargo Says:

Thank you, Carol, That is the petition wanting 50,000 signatures. This time, the above petition. Please click, read and sign BOTH Petitions. While the rally is on, give the people at home a chance to be heard. mar

      • carol poole Says:

Yes, sign them PLEASE!! We need all the help we can get. They (BLM) have no intentions of stopping until there are NO wild horses or burros left roaming free.

      • Marilyn Wargo Says:

The horses are disappearing NOW. We Need a moratorium on roundups. STOP THE ROUNDUPS NOW!!!!!! mar

      • Barbara Steele Says:

        Hi All,
I signed the petition Mar and now I am off to D.C. with 2 other friends–2 hour commute through miserable traffic– to go to Press Conference. Went to BLM Advisory yesterday, exhausting but good there were people there to make comments. Want to round up the BLM with cattle prods and put them in holding.
Will post my thoughts when I return.

  4. Robyn Goode Says:

I too am wondering if this will be covered by CNN, C-Span or any of the networks as I have someone who offered to tape it for me while I am at work 🙂

  5. Robyn Goode Says:

Marilyn, sorry to hear you are not feeling well. This has been a stressful time for many & those colds, etc. get us when we are a bit worn out. You are such a wonderful supporter of these horses. You deserve some rest. Sending some healing light your way 🙂

  6. Marilyn Wargo Says:

Thanks, Robyn, except on weekends, I am alone in the little caravan we have and this has been the focus for weeks. But it is paying off. I may feel this way because I can’t believe I am not going to be there tomorrow. I could have gone, but the money drain would have been fierce. Mar

    • Susan NY Says:

Mar, cyber home made chicken soup headed your way. Many of us wish we could be in DC tomorrow too, and this site has made all the difference, knowing you and so many others who care. Get well soon.

  7. Marilyn Wargo Says:

Thanks, Everyday I am putting off errands and falling behind in little things. This has been such a concentrated effort for so many I am really pleased and yet it is so bitter, too. The horses just lost through the devious intentions of BLM are out there, and many here still fear the euthanizing threat. I can’t blame them. There just cannot be so huge a deficit of wild horses. I had hoped tha BLM would just cave today. But we have no word so far. That meeting must be intense. mar

  8. Marilyn Wargo Says:

A press conference at the Capitol should be attended by the Washington Press corps. So, there should be adequate coverage considering what you are doing. And it ought to be considered worthwhile since the speakers are making significant statements. You are Golden. mar

    • Janet Ferguson Says:

MW Did you try that link (the 2005 one) is that the one you are talking about or not???

Also I still can’t find that 47,000 signature one you indicated. Darn!

  11. jan sterling Says:

am going to get up early to see if c-span might cover this since its in the senate – or cnn or somone else – i did email jane mitchell again at cnn – has anyone been able to call her – was madeline pickens there for the meeting at the blm – she has already confronted congress once on the ROAM bill and to adopt all those horses – sure hope someone lets her – in this age of stalilte phones and television you think we would all be able to pick up on whats going on in washington – very frustrating if waiting for something to show up on the news by chance

  12. Marilyn Wargo Says:

JF Do read the article with the petition, on grazing. Not long, but good. Have you signed it?? There is a neat comment box and all gets listed by your name just like and EIS (Environmental Impact Statement).Mar

  13. Marilyn Wargo Says:

I have twittered TheCloudFoundation and hope someone gets back to us. Please visit “UPCOMING” post and find the two petitions near the top and read and sign them!!! Mar

  14. Suzanne Moore Says:

Just finished signing and reading the article about grazing. I’m saving it to quote to those who seem to think it really IS the horses to blame.

  15. Marilyn Wargo Says:

It is nice to have a counter for hearing how bad horses are to the range all the time. mar

  16. carol poole Says:

Wild Horse org. looking for volunteers.

  17. carol poole Says:

As if what is going on with the wild horses isn’t horrific enough, look what is happening in our back yards all over America.
Horses are such loving trusting animals and we humans do the most horrible things to them. It is all so hard to comprehend.
Thank God for the wonderful people at the rescues. I will encourage everyone I know to purchase their horse(s) from a rescue (just like the national cat/dog programs) and give a loving home to some poor abused/neglected animal like the horses in this link.
