Ginger, we all know how much you love these Horses. WE ALL LOVE THEM, TOO. That petition to stop the round-up of Cloud's Herd in 2009 is where I came in. I haven't stopped since. Perhaps the word "activist" should be replaced by the word ACTIVATED.

Thanks for the wonderful "To the Mountaintop" update! The herd and their meadows are beautiful beyond compare!

It seems unbelievable that two Pryor horses could be killed by a motor vehicle in their own pastures. Intoxication apparently knows no boundaries. Glad to hear that an arrest has been made, but the precious lives cannot be restored. May God be with our wild mustangs everywhere.

I named the yearling son of Admiral, Climbs High, on the day of this birth in May of 2010. I came upon them when his mother Seneca was still on the ground. I saw her stand up, the after birth shining deep red in the late afternoon Quickly and quietly I got out my camera and began filming, getting the most intimate details of the first few minutes of his precious life. His father, Admiral and grandmother, Hightail were nearby. I named him Climbs High because, before his was even dry, he climbed the high hill behind his birth place. So strong. I will never forget either of these greeters at the gate. Admiral 2000-20011 and his son, Climbs HIgh 2010-2011. We will post details on this as we learn more about this senseless tragedy. And pictures honoring their lives.

Dear Ginger, I really like your update on your recent venture up on the Pryor Mtns. We also enjoyed meeting you again up there that weekend and sharing information. I would like to add some more info for you on the trip we made this past Saturday, July 23rd. We got to observe another new addition that was only a day of two old and still woobly in the legs, but he was something to watch as he ventured around. Don't know his moms name but she is dune colored. And in addition, we saw another dune mare who is very heavy and betting she will be giving birth any day now. Here's hoping everything is going well and maybe we will have a chance to meet again some day.
